Als ik terugdenk aan de bruiloft van Laurence en Bartira, word ik spontaan weer blij. Wat een fantastische dag! Een hele tijd terug had ik een super gezellig kennismakingsgesprek met hen. Zij vertelden mij toen dat zij zouden trouwen in het Zalmhuis in Rotterdam. Een prachtige locatie! Voordat de bruiloft plaatsvond, heb ik met hen een toffe pre-weddingshoot gedaan, deze kun je hier bekijken. Ik had toen al snel door dat Laurence en Bartira echt enorm gelukkig zijn met elkaar – wat een enthousiasme en liefde spat er van hen af.

Hun trouwdag zelf was een prachtige dag in Juni. Ik was aanwezig bij zowel de voorbereidingen van de bruid als de bruidegom en mocht blijven tot en met het feest. Dit zijn voor mij de tofste dagen, omdat ik dan echt het complete verhaal kan vertellen. En de dag was echt heerlijk. Alles klopte: een knap en verliefd bruidspaar; een mooie locatie; supermooie styling door Gift by Nature en heerlijk eten en drinken. Maar, ondanks dat ik geniet van mooi gestylde bruiloften, vind ik het het allerbelangrijkste dat een bruidspaar en hun gasten genieten met elkaar. De dag op en top beleven en durven laten zien dat het hen raakt. Bartira is een prachtige Braziliaanse vrouw en zij is voor Laurence naar Nederland verhuisd. Ik kan me helemaal voorstellen dat het niet altijd makkelijk is om ver bij je familie vandaan te wonen. Wat was het dan ook fantastisch dat op hun trouwdag, de familie van Bartira naar Nederland was gekomen. Wat heerlijk om deze dag te beleven met de mensen die je lief zijn. (Stiekem mogen jullie een beetje meegenieten, door de foto’s hieronder te bekijken.)

Lieve Laurence en Bartira, het voelt als een enorme zegen dat ik jullie heb leren kennen. Jullie zijn een bijzonder stel en ik heb genoten van jullie. Naast dat jullie heel veel van elkaar houden, heb ik ook gezien dat jullie heel veel lieve mensen om jullie heen hebben staan, waar jullie dol op zijn. Ik wens jullie met elkaar en al die mensen om je heen, een onwijs gelukkige en liefdevolle toekomst toe. Ik hoop jullie snel weer een keer te spreken!

When I think back of the wedding of Laurence and Bartira I feel instant happiness. What a fantastic day it was! A while back I had a very nice introduction talk with them. They told me they would be getting married in the Zalmhuis in Rotterdam. A beautiful location! Before the wedding took place, I did a cool pre wedding photoshoot with them (take a look here). It didn’t take much time to see that Laurence and Bartira are truly a very happy couple – such enthusiasm and love was sparking off their faces!

Their wedding day was a beautiful day in June. I was invited to join prepping the groom as well as the bride, and was allowed to stay till the end of the evening party. These kind of days are the nicest of days for me as a photographer, because it gives me the opportunity to tell the complete story with my photos. And goodness, this day was gorgeous. Everything was well thought through: a handsome and loving couple, a beautiful location, very nice styling by Gift by Nature and delicious food and drinks. But, even though I enjoy beautifully styled weddings, the most important thing is that the bridal couple and their guests truly enjoyed each other. Really living this day of love to the fullest and not being afraid to show their emotions. Bartira is a beautiful Brazilian woman and she moved to the Netherlands for Laurence. I can really imagine that it’s not always easy to live so many miles away from your family. That’s why it was so fantastic for her to be surrounded by the people she loves on this special day. Dear Laurence and Bartira, it feels like a tremendous blessing that I’ve gotten to know you two. You are a special couple and I’ve enjoyed you very much. I’ve seen that you love each other very much but also you have many dear friends and family around you that you love. I wish you a very happy and loving future, as a couple and as part of a community. Hopefully we get to meet again some time soon!
